Decisions! Decisions!

Last Saturday, day before Mother's day, we went malling and I saw these cute wedges, I was not in the market for new shoes as I just recently purchased this sandals but if you've known me a for a while, you'll know that I just can't pass up anything wedge-heeled! LOL, that's the truth! Anything wedge, I have it!
And so, imagine my delight when I saw these! The colors are sooo fun! I had a hard time choosing! I was leaning towards the pink one coz I have lots of nude/neutral-colored wedges already, but I also can't leave the mustard yellow behind... So before I make the wrong decision of buying the wrong one (or buying 'em all) and then suffer from buyer's remorse eventually, I had to get out of there, FAST! Empty-handed!

Flatforms

Remember this? I bought them last year at the start of the winter season on sale of course, wore them a few times just before the temperature dropped down and now that it's almost summer, I'm glad I could wear them again, fun huh?

Apparently, they are called 'flatforms'... which I didn't know until recently when I started seeing them around the blogworld...

Image from honestlywtf

*Flatforms - a cross between flat shoes and platform shoes.

Flats and platforms, get it? How cool is that?

Truth be told, I was initially not a fan  because I thought of 'em as clogs or 'bakya' [local wooden slippers worn in earlier times - once the most commonly used footwear in the Philippines before the introduction of rubber sandals. This footwear is made from local light wood like santol and laniti. It is cut to the desired foot size before being shaven until smooth. The side of the bakyâ is thick enough to be carved with floral, geometric or landscape designs. Afterwards, the bakyâ could then be painted or varnished. - wikipedia] and not really seeing them in a stylish way but after seeing them in many fashion blogs it eventually grew on me  and why would It not? It is so comfy and light in every step, I can walk tall and not have to deal with aching soles and ankles after wearing it for a whole day.

Here are some of the styles that I like.

To BUY or NOT to buy!

Sigh! Another wedge! I fell in love again... but I didn't buy it... yet! I really like it, eventhough I already have tons of wedge sandals waiting to be worn and it's also very similar to this... But I really, really like it, should I go back and buy it? Oh decisions, decisions!

What I wore - Christmas shopping

December 18, 2011
The day after Gabe's birthday celebration, the whole fam slept in until noon, we stayed up until 2 in the morning and didn't sleep until almost 5 in the morning... We woke up with nothing to do so we decided to go to the shops to buy DVD's and this is what I wore... Perfectly fine weather, not too cold I was able to wear ripped jeans and my new peeptoe wedge booties and leopard-print scarf also worn here.

What I wore -- Jeggings with belt!

Say that again?

Yes, you got that right!
I experimented with my outfit today and bravely tucked my white tuxedo top in my jeggings and wore my favorite wide brown belt... I don't like it when I first saw it in pictures but this outfit eventually grew on me...
I also love that my new shoes and very old cardi are the same colors...
You see, I was inspired with these two outfits and was trying to work around these color palette...

What I wore - Plaid shirt + New shoes

This photo, according to the hubs should have been a reject since my right arm is missing (in the world of modelling or photography, maybe it's a no-no?) but I like this pic so it's here in the blog, (I am one stubborn wife!)

What I'm wearing: [11.20.11]
Plaid shirt (also worn here)
Skinny jeans (H&M), seen here & here
Magenta tube (worn underneath the plaid shirt)
My new sandals

(Disclaimer: This post features a couple pic of close-up of feet, so be warned!)
These are my new shoes and my new favorite as of the moment, it gives me an additional 3 to 3 and a half inches of height but does not give me any pain or blisters at all!

What I Wore - Green rompers

We invited some friends for a buffet lunch @ Gaucho's last Sunday in celebration of
hubby's birthday and son's graduation from Primary School...

This is what i wore...
This green romper is one of the two I bought from a previous shopping trip,
the other coral one I already worn here.
I took inspiration from this green romper from Lulus.com.
I get lots of compliments from these sandals and was really glad I did buy them!
And the belt that match.
The watch (Fossil, btw) and the aviators are borrowed from the hubs! I may or may not [most likely!] return them, ha!

the necklace
Exactly! Justification, haha!

What I Wore -- Neon + Stripes @ Gabe's Piano Recital

I wore this last Sunday at Gabe's piano recital... This wasn't my initial planned outfit but it rained, so I just wore this short and striped tee combo... and to add a pop of color, a hot pink slim belt and my neon pink Roxy bag... and my new black wedge seen in this post.

Another wedge

As I mentioned in this post, here is a separate blogpost about my new wedge which I ended up spending all my shopping money in! Which I don't normally do, by the way!
All because I fell in love the moment I saw it...

Coz who wouldn't? It looks a lot like this cork wedge from Lulus.com

I've also long been searching for a sandals to match this belt I have, and when I saw that it's a perfect match I have decided [eventhough it's beyond my price range for a shoe] to go on and buy it, but not right away, I still have some will power left in me that day and thought I'd think it over and if it really was meant to be mine then it'd still be there when I come back... and what do you know?

All the other shoe styles that I liked were gone especially this one

but it was still there, only 2 left, one in my size and another in size 40 and so, I guess I gotta do what a girl gotta do, BUY it! It was meant to be mine! There was what you call some divine intervention already, yes, im being melodramatic all because of a shoe hahahahaha!

What I Wore -- Date with the hubs

It was holiday for the hubs (and not for the kid) last July 1st, so what to do without a kid for a day?
Go out on a date!

We ate pizza and steak for lunch then we went to check out some gadgets for the home... and lastly, watched Charice perform on a giant tv at a home appliance store, complete with surround sound and comfy lounge chairs, nothing beats free entertainment!

What I wore:
Coral rompers
White H&M tee underneath
Aqua necklace
Aqua wedges

I love this aqua wedge also seen in this post, it looked a lot like this one that I'm digging
from here... Ain't the colors so very summer?

Finding a Stuart Weitzman Alex Espadrille look-alike!

I get monthly shopping allowance [it's not much but, i'm spoiled, i know!] from the hubs which I don't normally spend in just one shopping trip... I usually divide or extend my budget to 2-3 trips to the stores in a month...

But not this one time where i spent it all in just one swoop!
[Story behind it deserves a separate post!;-)]

This wedge certainly swept me off my feet, literally! I don't have any regrets though, it looks soo nice on my feet, it makes my gams look looong i love it! It's from Bershka. They've got some really nice collection of shoes, I actually had a hard time choosing between these two
And the first one won being a look-alike of Stuart Weitzman Alex Espadrille wedge that
Jen Aniston was seen wearing all-summer long last year, with a steep price tag of US$365!
...and you know how I'm a big fan of Jen's fashion style I need to have at least a knock-off of it! And speaking of knock-offs, a ton came out with affordable price tags!
I also previously purchased a black version which is a lot cheaper, a little less than US$5 (also deserves a separate post!)

Yummy-colored shoes

This color was last year's color, but I still want 'em

...and I got 'em!
